ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The two people killed in a head-on crash earlier this week have been identified by the Anchorage Police Department.
The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee has been identified as 29-year-old Joshua Stafford. The driver of the Subaru Legacy has been identified as 30-year-old Theodore Dickerson.
Stafford, driving the Jeep, first struck a Chevy near Baxter Road intersection, and continued into the oncoming lane to collide head-on with the Subaru, driven by Dickerson.
MJ Thim, spokesperson with APD, said that neither driver was wearing their seatbelt, but that they were not ejected from their respective vehicles.
Thim said that drug or alcohol involvement have not been ruled out, but the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The occupants of the Chevy, an adult and a child, were not seriously injured.
