ANCHORAGE (KTUU) The owner of M.A.’s Gourmet Dogs, a longtime downtown fixture and summertime destination for locals and tourists, died of an apparent suicide according to the Anchorage Police Department.

Michael Roy Anderson, 55, was scheduled to begin trial this week on charges of coercion, sexual assault, and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Police say he was found dead Sunday in his home of an apparent suicide.

The charges involved an 18-year-old former employee and were filed earlier this year against the vendor.
