Anchorage Corey Cogdell-Unrein has made a name for herself as one of the top trap shooters in the country. It's for this reason that she's one of the inductees in the 2019 Alaska Sports Hall of Fame class.
Cogdell has 2 bronze medals to her name in trap shooting and countless other medals from World Cup and other international competitions.
But her coaches and mentors say its her tenacity and drive is what pushed her to be the best. It's what continues to push her as she aims to compete in 2020 at the Olympic games.
Cogdell-Unrein will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 25th along with Chad Bentz, the Alaska Run for Women in the event category and the Kodiak boys basketball team winning the 2001 4A state basketball championship in the moment category.
