Chugiak boys, South girls take Division I state track titles and Kenai girls, ACS boys claim Division II crowns
The Chugiak boys track and field team continues its dominate season with a state championship in Division I. The South girls team took the Division I title for the ladies. In Division II, it's the Kenai girls team that takes the cake, while the Anchorage Christian boys win the championship in the boys category.
Alissa Pili continues her high school athletic dominance, winning her 13th state title by taking the discus state title crown.
DImond girls finished second overall in state track and field.
Delta Junction's Hailey Williams continued her dominance in the 100 meters, winning the state title with a time of 12.45 seconds in Division II.
Kendall Kramer added more titles to her name, winning the 1600 meters in Division I with a time of 4:56.15, narrowly beating South's Ava Earl by 4:57.23, personal records for both ladies.
Chugiak's Daniel Bausch took the 1600 in Division I for the boys, winning with a time of 4:13.60
