East takes on Arizona school in Week 2's Tailgate Tour Game of the Week

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — With Week 2 of Alaska Prep Football upon us it’s time to choose the KTUU Tailgate Tour Game of the Week. It will be East High School hosting Cesar Chavez High School from Phoenix, Arizona on August 17 at 6:00 PM at East.

The Thunderbirds are coming off a 47-0 shutout victory over Chugiak. East comes into week two ranked No. 1 overall for large schools in the latest Alaska Sports Broadcaster poll. Their competition will be no slouch as Chavez won its district in Arizona in 2017, and the school's enrollment is 200-300 students more than East High.

Make sure to follow KTUU Sports' coverage all week on the Late Edition as this week’s game of the week approaches.
