ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Anchorage’s Zoey Hickel was named to the United States Women’s national team that will skate in the Rivalry Series against Canada Feb. 12-17 in London and Toronto, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan.
Hickel will join 14 members of the gold medal-winning 2018 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team.
This news comes after Hickel played in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League all-star game in Toronto on Sunday. She plays for the Calgary inferno who are currently in first place, and skating alongside Hickel for the Inferno is her sister Tori.
Recently the Hickels' Inferno jerseys raised over $1,000 apiece online benefiting the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre in Canada.
