Mix 6 and 2A crown its 2018 state volleyball champions

Anchorage (KTUU) No earthquake was going to get in the way of the ASAA Mix 6 and 2A state championships for volleyball.

Hosted by Anchorage Christian Schools, Tanalian and Shismaref battled it out to see who would wear the Mix 6 crown this year.

Tanalian came out on top, winning in 4 sets over Shishmaref.

In the 2A competition, the Glennallen Panthers climbed their way out of the consolation bracket and made it to the championship to face off with the Su Valley Rams.

The Panthers pushed the game to four sets, and with that win, forced a final first to 30 match to determine the state champion.

Glennallenn took control and never looked back, winning 30 to 22 over Su Valley.
