ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Everyone loves a comeback. That’s exactly what the Chugiak Mustangs are doing.
Compared to last year’s one-win season, Chugiak’s 3-0 start is something many didn’t see coming.
“Everyone counted us out,” head coach Ryan Landers said. “Some are still counting us out.”
All that outside noise doesn’t mean anything to the Mustangs. They’re focused on one thing: playing Chugiak football.
“We knew with the group of guys we had coming in this season, we could be good,” senior quarterback Quentin Wilson said.
The Mustangs play Colony this Saturday and if they win, will be 4-0 on the season. But for Chugiak, it’s about getting better every game.
“Holding each other accountable,” senior fullback Austin Harr said. “Making sure, rep-by-rep, we’re getting better.”
