Overbaugh signs with the Falcons

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — Life moves pretty fast, and that was the case Thursday for Anchorage’s Jeff Overbaugh, after the Atlanta Falcons signed the 24-year-old longsnapper after starter Josh Harris had been limited in practice due to a hip injury.

Overbaugh got signed and took the field for the Falcons all on the same day, with Atlanta kicking off their season with an opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.

He is no stranger to the National Football League, having played in both of playoff appearances by the Minnesota Vikings last season. During his career at Service High School, Overbaugh won a pair of state championships before starting all four years at San Diego State, never missing a snap in his college career.
