USA Hockey announced Thursday that Tri-City Storm Goaltender Isaiah Saville was named the Dave Peterson Goaltender of the Year. The award is given annually to a top U.S. goaltender at the international, professional, collegiate or junior level.

The 18-year-old from Anchorage had a great 2018-19 season playing in the United States Hockey League for the Tri-City Storm. The former West High Eagle suited up in 34 regular season games for the Storm while recording wins in 25 of those games.

On top of his season in the USHL, Saville made his mark on the world stage as well, winning gold with Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge. Saville also played in the USA Hockey All-American Prospects game in Saint Paul Minnesota. He’ll be eligible for the 2019 NHL draft, and finished the season ranked 13th among North American goaltenders on the NHL Central Scouting’s 2019 Draft Prospect Rankings.
