Seven West Valley High School coaches barred for two years after pool incident in Fairbanks


ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Fairbanks North Star Borough School District superintendent Karen Gaborik announced Thursday during a school board meeting that seven West Valley High School football coaches involved in a preseason pool incident have been barred from coaching for two years.

The incident occurred on July 26 and sent three students to the hospital. The two others were released earlier under medical supervision.

West Valley lost its first game of the season against Wasilla High School, and will play Service on Friday in Anchorage.
