Three West Valley students head to hospital, school suspends all preseason football activities

Fairbanks (KTUU) The West Valley high school administration has suspended all preseason football activities following an incident on July 26th that put three West Valley students in the hospital.

According to a press release by the Fairbanks North Star Borough school district, three West Valley students were taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Friday evening after a swimming accident at the University of Fairbanks pool.

As of Saturday afternoon, one student has been released by the hospital, while the other two remain for medical observation.

The school administration is conducting an investigation into the incident.

The UAF police department is conducting an independent investigation as well.

This is a developing story.
