UAA captures third straight GNAC All-Sports trophy

Anchorage (KTUU) For the third straight year, the UAA Seawolves have been awarded the GNAC All-Sports trophy. UAA narrowly edged out Western Washington for the second straight year.

UAA won with its titles in men's cross country, women's cross country and women's basketball.

In a press release, athletic director Greg Myford said "Winning a third consecutive GNAC All-Sports Trophy, first and foremost, speaks to the level of excellence that our University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolf Athletics program represents."

The Seawolves not only won three conference crowns this year, UAA's seven other teams produced finishes that are worth bragging about. Men's indoor track and field finished second, women's volleyball finished third, women's indoor and outdoor track and field finished fourth, men's outdoor track and field finished fourth and men's basketball finished sixth.
