ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The University of Alaska Anchorage’s Caroline Kurgat is the 2019 NCAA DII women's indoor track 3,000 meter champion. This is Kurgat’s fifth national championship of her career.
The senior won the 3,000 meter race in record fashion with a time of 9:15.45, a new meet and facility record. Friday Kurgat won the 5,000 meter title in record fashion as well. This brings the Kenyan runners total number of national championships to five during her time at UAA.
