ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The University of Alaska Fairbanks’ head basketball coach Mick Durham announced his resignation from the program Wednesday.

Durham had been the head of the program for seven years. A release from the Nanooks says Durham will soon be the head coach at Montana State University-Billings, one of the team’s Great Northwest Athletic Conference competitors.

The university says Durham is originally from Three Forks, Mont., and he says the move will make him closer to home.

In his seven seasons, Durham led the Nanooks to a 92-103 overall record and 60-72 in the GNAC.
