JOB SUMMARY:
The Videojournalist/MMJ is responsible for shooting/writing/editing daily news, executing live television remotes and operating Broadband/ENG broadcast equipment daily. The Videojournalist/MMJ is responsible for developing, researching, investigating, writing, shooting and editing stories of interest. Must generate story and source contacts, and enterprise stories on a daily basis - whether assigned to work with - or without - on-air talent. Writes and produces reports of high visual and ethical standards working solo as an MMJ, as assigned, utilizing creative ideas and live-news capabilities. Coverage is live or taped for broadcast and digital platforms.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate cameras, lights, wireless mics and all other essential equipment for daily news coverage and live broadcasts
• Shoot/edit new content daily using Grass Valley edit system
• Operate ENG van, broadband units and other related broadcast equipment
• Excellent interview and communication skills
• Must be able to write in a clear, concise, and conversational manner
• Must enterprise and regularly pitch hard-news, research-based stories
• Travel for coverage, as assigned, and react quickly and appropriately to breaking news
• Basic computer knowledge including newsroom software (ENPS), Microsoft applications and Internet use
• Communicate effectively with News and Operations department staff before and during all live newscasts
• Ability to work well with others and independently with limited supervision
